Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saoud…A guest at "Youth Forum" program, to talk about the distinguished student activities at the university

In an open dialogue between Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs, and his students, an episode of the “Youth Forum” program was held by the great journalist Khaled Saad, which was recorded in the Grand Ceremonial Hall of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the university to talk about the distinguished student activities at the University Ain Shams.

During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saoud discussed the position of Vice President for Education and Student Affairs and the roles and responsibilities it imposes towards society.

         
   
         
He also addressed the most prominent student activities at the university, stressing that the university is interested in student activities as a complement to the educational process to provide a distinguished graduate capable of keeping pace with the requirements of the labor market, noting that the practice of activity is guaranteed to all students and that Ain Shams University includes the largest base of participation in student activities.

He added: The university has also achieved advanced positions in the international rankings of universities, at the level of general and specialized classifications, such as obtaining five stars in the Qs Star assessment and being ranked 301-500 in the graduate classification and employment reputation for 2022 by the QS International University Ranking Organization.

         
   
         

Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saoud also reviewed, during the episode, the awards and positions that the university achieved in various student activities during the recent period, such as the creativity festival organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, in which the university’s students won 24 awards and prizes for the National Theater Festival, in addition to the university’s theater team winning half the festival awards. Another episode was also recorded in the presence of Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs, about the distinguished student activities at the university, in which Dr. Tamer Rady, the Vice-President’s advisor for student activities, was hosted by the student Rana Abdeen, one of the heroes of the winning theatrical performance at the Tangier Festival in Morocco, and the student Islam Khaled is the director of the winning show (Negative Zero) and the winner of the Best Actor Award.

Dr. Tamer Rady spoke about the student activities at Ain Shams University and their role in student development. He also touched on the participation of the acting team in the Tangier International Festival in Morocco and their distinction and winning 4 awards at the festival, noting that the participation of students in international festivals refines their talents and is reflected in the level of performance positively. The champions of the winning show were about the idea of ​​the show, which depends on the total re-consideration of the human being through a story about an electronic chip that was invented to control human feelings, keeping him away from negative feelings, and events continue to emphasize the main idea of ​​the presentation, which is the necessity of showing human values.

   
   

The distinguished Ain Shams University choir team participated in the second part of the episode, which has made a mark in various places and has won advanced positions in the creativity festival and the University Youth Week during the previous years. It is also part of the celebrations of October victories in the official authorities, and Ain Shams University does not skimp on developing talents. Its children, where it brings in professional coaches, and the university team is chosen from among the distinguished elements of the college teams.

A seminar was also recorded on creativity and innovation at Ain Shams University, in which Dr. Mohamed Behairy, director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the university, and Dr. Weam Mahmoud, deputy director of the center, were hosted, in addition to two students to talk about innovative student projects and the excellence of Ain Shams University in this field, where the role of the Center was exposed. Innovation at the university with a presentation of students’ activities and participation in international competitions such as the ASU racing team, which was achieved under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aziz, Head of the Automotive Mechanics Department at the Faculty of Engineering, advanced positions in a number of international competitions, and the team of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, which invented the remote control of a submarine, also presented during the seminar the innovations of students from the various faculties of the university.
