under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President of the University, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Mortada, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Prof. Dr. Tarek Tawfik, Deputy Minister of Health and Population for Population Affairs, and the supervision and implementation of Prof. Dr. Rasha Al-Didi, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, organized an extensive seminar to raise awareness of the dangers of overpopulation and its risks to development, reproductive health and family planning. This is within the framework of the interest of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the President of the Republic, with the problem of population increase and the provision of a decent life for citizens.
It was reviewed by Dr. Hala Azzam, Director of International Conventions at the National Population Council, the reasons for the population increase, the target audience for raising awareness (women, young and old, men, the media, clerics, the whole society), the proposed new solutions, the benefits of family planning on the mother, child and society. The symposium also aimed to raise awareness Students with what the state provided in the population increase file.
The symposium comes within the framework of the fruitful cooperation between the Faculty of Arts and all state institutions to contribute to solving the problems facing society and impeding the progress and development.
The symposium was held in the presence of Dr. Dalia Ali, Deputy Director of the National Population Council’s branch in Cairo, Dr. Medhat Al Wakeel, Secretary of the Future of a Homeland Party in Waili, Saeed Qassem, Director General of the National Population Council, Cairo Branch, Mohamed Mubarak, Director of Public Relations at the National Population Council in Cairo, Iman Zahran, Director General of the Council The National Population Institute in Cairo Governorate, and a group of faculty staff headed by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kasim, head of the Literacy and Adult Education Unit at the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Amani Abdel Rahim Department of Tourist Guidance, Prof. Dr. Nashwa Thabet, Department of Sociology, Ms. Iman Mahmoud, the Faculty Secretary, a number of Faculty officials, and a large number of students from all departments of the Faculty.
