For the second time this month…Ain Shams University theater team wins international festival awards

The theatrical show Rasd Khan for the Ain Shams University theater team won the Best Theatrical Show award. The director of the show, Karim Hamdi, won the Best Director award at the Sharm El-Sheikh International Festival for Youth Theater in its sixth session in Sharm El-Sheikh under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Enas Abdel Dayem, Minister of Culture, and Major General Staff of war Khaled Fouda, Governor of South Sinai, with the participation of more than 36 countries, including Italy - England - Spain - Poland - Croatia - Georgia - Romania - Albania, and among the Arab countries are Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, Saudi Arabia and Jordan.

         
   
         

It is worth noting that Rasd Khan’s performance by Ain Shams University is the only show that represented Egypt in the activities of this festival. It is noteworthy that the university’s mission arrived in the city of Sharm on Friday, 5/11, where the show was presented on 10/11 at the theater of Sharm El-Sheikh Culture Palace. The closing ceremony was held on Thursday, and it was announced that Egypt and Ain Shams University won the best show and best director.

This is also the second international victory for Ain Shams University theater, as the university's production negative travel show won half the prizes of the Tangier International University Theater Festival last month in Tangiers, Morocco, the international festival held under the patronage of King Mohammed VI of Morocco.

The jury of the Grand Theater Competition at the Sharm El-Sheikh International Festival for Youth Theater was chaired by the star Ilham Shaheen, and the jury also includes: the artist and star Daoud Hussein from Kuwait, the artist Kakumoto Atsushi from Japan, the artist SISSY PAPATHANASIOU from Greece, and the artist EDMOND XHUMARI from Albania.

Participation in the Sharm El-Sheikh International Festival was sponsored by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Tamer Rady, Advisor to the Vice President for Student Activities, Prof. Muhammad Al-Khatib, Assistant Secretary of the University, and Prof. Muhammad Al-Sharqawi, Director General of Youth Welfare and Professor Mustafa Issa, Director of Artistic Activity Department, and Mr. Yasser Abdel Razek, Student Supervisor.
