Sheikh Al Arab Hammam in the cultural season of Ain Shams University in cooperation with the Faculty of Archeology

Prof. Dr. Mamdouh El-Damaty, Dean of the Faculty of Archeology at Ain Shams University, announced the final preparations for organizing a cultural and artistic symposium on Sheikh Al-Arab Hammam, in cooperation with the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector at the university, at exactly twelve noon in the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Pharmacy on November 15, this comes under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Suhail Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development.

The symposium will host the great artist Sameh Al-Saraiti, who embodied the role of Issa, cousin of Sheikh Al-Arab Hammam. The symposium will also host writer Abdel Rahim Kamal, director Hosni Saleh, and writer Dr. Lamis Jaber.

Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Shawki, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Supervisor of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the faculty, said that the symposium will address the excavations that took place at the site of Sheikh Al-Arab Hammam in the village of Al-Arki of the Farshout Center, in which the Faculty of Archeology Ain Shams University participates with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the French Institute of Oriental Archeology in Cairo. And the findings of the discovery of many facilities, buildings and archaeological artifacts, which reflect the importance of the site and the nature of architecture and traditional arts in Upper Egypt in the mid-eighteenth century. Artistic activities of a historical nature increase the viewers' cultural awareness and national affiliation.
