A meeting of the Board of Directors of the Center of Papyrological Studies and Inscriptions was held with its new formation

The Board of Directors of the Papyrological and Inscriptions Center at the Faculty of Archeology, Ain Shams University, was held in its new formation, headed by Prof. Dr. Mamdouh El-Damaty, Dean of the Faculty, with the membership of Prof. Dr. Ahmed El-Shouki, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, and in charge of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the Faculty, and Prof. Dr. Noha Salem, Director of the Papyrus Studies Center and inscriptions, Dr. Alia Hanafi, professor of ancient European civilization, Dr. Fayza Heikal, professor of ancient Egyptian archeology at the American University in Cairo, and Dr. Ola El-Ajezy, professor of Egyptian archeology at the Faculty of Archeology, Cairo University.

Prof. Mamdouh Al-Damaty began his speech by welcoming the new members of the Board of Directors, and thanked the old council, headed by Prof. Dr. Nazmi Abdel Hamid - Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, who worked hard in the past period.

The board discussed many important topics, including the classification of the center’s magazine, in which it obtained 7 degrees according to the classification of the Supreme Council of Universities, in addition to obtaining the Arab Arsef factor. The council also reviewed many activities that will be developed at the center in order to increase self-resources through specialized courses Introducing the activity of translation, proofreading, the activity of studying manuscripts and preserving heritage.
