Awareness symposium on literacy for students of the Faculty of Specific Education

As a continuation of the workshops and symposia held by the Literacy Unit at the Faculty of Specific Education at Ain Shams University, the unit conducted an awareness symposium for the students of the Faculty attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Rasha Abd El-Salam, from Department of Music Education, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Abd El-Nabi, from Department of Education Technology and Director of the Unit, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Osama El-Sayed Mustafa, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Dr. Amr Khalil, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.

         
   
         

The symposium started via Microsoft Teams and lasted for an hour. Assistant Professor Dr. Rasha Abd El-Salam stated the most important features of the project for the illiterate student as well as for Faculty students, in addition to the University bearing the fees of a student who educates more than 4 people in the following year.

As pointed out by Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Abd El-Nabi to the categories most in need of this project, the ways to attract them, and how to persuade them to participate in the national project for literacy and adult education. The symposium hosts Dr. Rasha and Dr. Ahmed responds to all student inquiries.
