The launch of the first round of student elections in Ain Shams girls
The first round of student elections was launched today at the Faculty of Women at Ain Shams University, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Khaled Abd El-Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abd El-Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Amira Youssef, Dean of the Faculty Women, Prof. Dr. Mai Helmy, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Women for Education and Student Affairs, and MS. Ghada Moussa, Director of Youth Welfare.
Prof. Dr. Amira Youssef, Dean of the Faculty of Women at Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Mai Helmy, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, made an inspection tour around the election committees to follow up on the electoral process.
         
   
         
During the tour, the Dean of the Faculty stressed taking the necessary measures against the Corona virus, pointing out that a higher committee was formed to supervise the electoral process in the Faculty so that female students could choose their representatives with a free will, stressing the need to achieve discipline during the course of the electoral process while ensuring fair competition among female students to provide a fair competitive environment.
She added that the Higher Committee for Supervising Student Elections at the Faculty of Women is composed of Prof. Dr. Mai Helmy, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Chairman of the Committee and Assistant Prof. Dr. Sahar Sobhi Abd El-Halim, assistant professor in the Department of Zoology and one of the Faculty staff MS. Shaimaa Adel El-Sayed, a legal member and MS. Ghada Moussa, Director of the Youth Welfare Department, in addition to two members of the distinguished students and non-candidates for student elections.
         
   
         
Prof. Amira Youssef, Dean of the Faculty, called on the female students to participate actively because it is part of preparing the personality and dedicating the concept of democratic participation, stressing that the selection of female candidates should be based on the candidate's ability to provide services and student activities with new and innovative ideas, and the necessity of subjecting the election process to rational criteria.
The run-off is scheduled for tomorrow, Monday, according to the announced timetable, then the elections for committee secretaries and their assistants will be held on 30th November, and the elections for the president and deputy of the union will be held on 1st December, with the student elections ending with the election of committee secretaries and their assistants and the president of the union on 12/12/2021.
