The Faculty of Arts, represented by the Department of History, held a memorial ceremony for Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Al-Gendi, full-time professor and head of the Department of Ancient History in the department, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Mortada, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Hanan Kamel, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Khaled Hussein, Head of the History Department, and a group of faculty staff, the teaching assistants, members of the Greco-Roman History Seminar, researchers at the Egyptian Society for Historical Studies, and students of the department.
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Mortada, Dean of the Faculty, gifted the faculty shield and the Seminar shield of the Historical Society of the family of the deceased in honor of his name and the culmination of his efforts and academic giving, and received them on their behalf Prof. Dr. Hassan Ahmed, Head of the Greco-Roman History Division in the department.
The memorial events dealt with a review of his personal biography, his virtues, and the words of his colleagues and students that affected his lamentation, praying to God Almighty to cover him with the vastness of his mercy and to inspire his family and relatives’ patience and solace.
