Ain Shams University, headed and sponsored by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and the sponsorship of Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, achieved a new sporting achievement, when 6 university students of determination won the first places in the Universities with Special Needs Championship, which was held by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in the Youth City of Abu Qir in Alexandria for male and female students of the Egyptian University.
The results of the students were as follows:
The student, Mohamed Hussein Adly, Faculty of Business (Impaired mobility), won the first place and the gold medal in weightlifting, weight 55.
The student, Mohamed Hussein Ahmed, from the Faculty of Business (Impaired mobility) won the first place and the gold medal in weightlifting, balance 80.
The student, Shaima Shaaban Muhammad, from the Faculty of Al-Alsun (visual impairment) won the first place and the gold medal in weightlifting, balance 55.
Student Mohamed Ahmed Abdel Salam, Faculty of Arts (visual impairment), won third place and a bronze medal in weightlifting, balance 65.
The student, Nariman Muhammad Abdul-Maksoud, at the Faculty of Business (Intellectual disability) won the third place and the bronze medal in athletics with a spear.
The tournament was held with the participation of 700 male and female players representing 22 Egyptian universities.
The achievement coincides with the celebration of the International Day of People of Determination, which falls on the 3rd of December every year.
It was attended by university students of determination under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Tamer Rady, Advisor to the Vice President for Education Affairs and Student Activities, and Mr. Muhammad Al-Khatib, Assistant Secretary for Education and Student Affairs, and Mr. Muhammad Al-Sharkawi, Director General of the General Administration of Youth Welfare, and Director of the Sports Activity Department, Captain Muhammad Hassan, and Mr. Hossam Fawzy Hussein and Mr. Reham Muhammad Ali and Mr. Mabrouka Hamada Abdel Rahman.
