Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Mohamed Saoud stresses the need to activate the role of measurement and evaluation units in faculties to develop the examination system

Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Mohamed Saoud, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs, chaired the Board of Education and Student Affairs, in the presence and membership of Prof. Dr. Hesham Azmy, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Culture, Prof. Dr. Sherif Hammad, former Minister of Scientific Research and former Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Refaat, the former Dean of the Faculty of Sciences, in addition to the distinguished members of the permanent members of the Board, where the session was held via video conference.

His Excellency inaugurated the Board by congratulating the members of the Board, the representatives of the faculties, and the attendees on the occasion of the upcoming start of a new year 2022 AD, wishing His Excellency a happy fruitful year. His Excellency also thanked and appreciated the education affairs sector and the students as a whole for their great and fruitful effort in serving the sector and the educational process during 2021 AD in light of the challenges of Covid-19.

He began the session by congratulating Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, for the success of Ain Shams University’s participation in the activities of the Global Forum for Higher Education and Scientific Research (GFHS) entitled “Vision of the Future”, which was held in the New Administrative Capital under the patronage and honor of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, with the participation of a number of Egyptian universities, prestigious international universities, authorities and organizations. His Excellency also praised the level of the university’s pavilion in the exhibition accompanying the forum, which was praised by its visitors from senior educators, as the participation came in a manner befitting the status of the university as well as the distinguished effective participation in the forum sessions through the university president, who participated in an important and effective role in a panel discussion on the inter-programs, in which he explained that Ain Shams University is one of the first Egyptian universities that paid great attention to the inter-programs and made great strides in this and prepared extensive plans to take care of them, especially in the future expansions of the university.

   
   

This was directed by Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saoud (Vice President for Education and Student Affairs) with sincere thanks and appreciation to the Long Live Egypt Fund and General / Mohamed Amin Nasr (Advisor to the President of the Republic and Secretary of the Long Live Egypt Fund) and praising his support for university students with simple social situations, as well as praising the fine organization of the exhibition. The joy shop, which was held in the gymnasium in the university city, which provided 15,000 luxury clothing and cosmetics for 5,500 university students who benefited from social solidarity support at the university and who are eligible for support from the Long Live Egypt Fund in cooperation with the Egyptian Clothing Bank, with thanks to the masters in charge of preparing and organizing from Representatives of the university from the education and student affairs sector, especially Mr. Muhammad Al-Khatib (Assistant Secretary of the University for Education and Student Affairs) and Prof. Ibrahim Saeed (General Supervisor of the General Administration of University Cities)

The session included congratulating Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim Al-Shafei; For the issuance of the decision to assume the position of Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Law for Education and Student Affairs and to join the membership of the Council, with sincere wishes for payment and success. His Excellency praised the Faculty of Law and its pioneers and leaders, and singled out Prof. Dr. Nagi Abdel-Momen, former Dean of the Faculty of Law, and congratulated His Excellency on assuming the position of Chairman of the Board of the Commercial and Maritime Law Department at the Faculty, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Safi Youssef, former Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law and current Dean of the Faculty, and Mr. Prof. Dr. Khaled Hamdi, Chairman of the Standing Committee, who added a lot by his assumption of the position of Chairman of the Standing Committee, and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim Al-Shafei, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law, thanked His Excellency the Representative for his congratulations.

Then, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Hindawy Ramadan Al-Hendawi was congratulated for the decision to appoint him as Director-General of the General Department of Medical Affairs at the university, and to thank him for the efforts made to develop the medical system in the Medical Department, its units and resources for the benefit of our students.

Congratulations were also directed to: Student Aya Hisham Saeed at the Faculty of Education for taking over the presidency of the Ain Shams University Student Union, and Abdullah Mohamed at the Faculty of Business as Vice-President of the new union, and thanks to those in charge of the student union elections process through the Higher Elections Committee, and thanks to Prof. Dr. Rana Al-Hilali - Professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Director of the Center for People with Disabilities at the university, to make efforts towards developing the system of dealing with students with disabilities and developing programs for accessibility, integration and adaptation in the student community.

The role of the sector towards supporting student activities in all fields was also commended. His Excellency singled out the participation of the Education and Student Affairs Sector in the celebration of the Arabic Language Day, which will be held on Campus No. (1) in partnership with the Graduate Studies and Research Sector, which will present a set of student interactions in the Arabic language, whether poetic. or petty cash.

At the end of the session, the council recommended the faculties to activate the role of the units of measurement and evaluation in the faculties in order to develop the examination system in a way that guarantees justice, transparency, and the ability to measure the skills and competencies required by graduates of the various sectors (medical, engineering, humanitarian, etc.), in order to complete the work of developing services provided to all parties to the educational process.
