The Department of History at the Faculty of Arts holds its monthly seminar for the current academic year

The Department of History at the Faculty of Arts at Ain Shams University held the third session of the department's monthly scientific seminar for the academic year 2021-2022, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Mortada, Dean of the Faculty, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Khaled Hussein, Head of the Department, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Wahab Professor of Modern and Contemporary History, and the preparation and coordination of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Abdullah, Prof. Dr. Sharif imam professors in the same specialty department.

The session activities included two topics, the first discussed research entitled: “Naziism through the eyes of the Israeli press in Egypt: Al-Shams newspaper as a model 1934/1948” presented by Dr. Safa Shaker researcher in modern and contemporary history.

         
   
         

As for the second research, it was entitled: "Mustafa Barzani's policy towards the Jews of Kurdistan 1943/1979" presented by Dr. Mahmoud Zayed, Assistant Professor of Modern and Contemporary History at Al-Azhar University. The seminar was chaired by Prof. Dr. Hanan Kamel, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, who in turn confirmed that the seminar proves successful and continuity, as it has started since 1955 until now. Arbitration and exchange of interventions between researchers and thesis presenter.

The December session was attended by a group of professors specializing in modern and contemporary history, Prof. Dr. Sabah Al Bayaa, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Batran, the assistant body and graduate students.
