Summer School for Excavations at the Faculty of Archeology

Within the framework of the keenness of the Faculty of Archeology, Ain Shams University to pay attention to the practical and field aspects of the students of the Department of Archeology and Excavations in the faculty, and to provide them with the skills required by the labor market, the Faculty of Archeology organizes Ain Shams University under the auspices of Prof. For Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Mamdouh El-Damaty, Dean of the Faculty of Archeology, in cooperation with Prof. Dr. Zahi Hawass, training for students of the Department of Archeology and Excavations at the Faculty of Archeology in a summer school for a month in the excavations of Dr. Zahi Hawass in the archaeological area of ​​Saqqara.

This cooperation came on the sidelines of the joint meeting this week between Prof. Dr. Mamdouh El-Damaty, Dean of the Faculty of Archeology, Ain Shams University, and Dr. Zahi Hawass, Director of the Zahi Hawass Center for Egyptology at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.

Students will be trained in scientific methods at the Egyptian Excavation School to be able to acquire scientific, field, and professional skills for archaeological excavation as part of the learning outcomes of the distinguished program in the faculty.
