The President of Ain Shams University receives the Japanese ambassador at the Faculty of Al-Alsun

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, at Faculty of Al-Alsun, received a high-level Japanese delegation headed by Mr. Oka Hiroshi, Ambassador of Japan in Cairo, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Prof. Dr. Saleh Hashem, former university president, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Refaat, director of the International Cooperation Department at the university, and the deputies of the Faculty of Al-Alsun.

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Matini, President of Ain Shams University, stressed the importance of cooperation with Japanese universities, and strengthening the Japanese Language Department at the Faculty of Al-Alsun; By opening bridges of communication between the university represented by the Faculty of Al-Alsun and the universities of Japan.

         
   
         

He also dealt with means of communication between the department's students and the Japanese community residing in Egypt, and stressed the possibility of achieving academic and cultural cooperation with the college, and stressed that it is possible to achieve international cooperation between Ain Shams University and Japanese universities in the field of graduate studies and student exchange, as well as providing professors from Japan to teach in the department and supervise the Theses, providing volunteers to teach Japanese language and literature to students in the department, and encouraging student exchange at the level of faculty, supporting staff and students.

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini said that the Faculty of Al-Alsun has a department of the Arabic language for non-native speakers that contributes to the consolidation of Egyptian-Japanese relations through scientific cadres capable of training the Japanese to use the Arabic language fluently within a few months, as well as the presence of specialized training courses for the Arabic language at the Faculty of Al-Alsun that are held via video conference technology To overcome the repercussions of the emerging corona virus.

Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, talked about the mechanisms of the faculty according to the university’s strategic plan to implement a stable system of cooperation with the Japanese side at the level of the bachelor’s and postgraduate studies, stressing the need to cooperate with the Japanese side by strengthening the department with scientific cadres capable of meeting the department’s growing needs, and stressing the importance of exchanging professors in the department And also to send Egyptian faculty members to complete their studies in Japan and return to Ain Shams University again.

         
   
         

She went on to point out the need to work on concluding an agreement along the lines of cooperation with the Korean side. It allows the opening of electronic libraries in Japan to view scientific references, and stressed the importance of encouraging cultural cooperation, as well as holding scientific meetings and workshops to achieve maximum benefit in the field of teaching Japanese language and literature to Egyptian students.

Also, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, accompanied by the Japanese Ambassador and the delegation accompanying him, toured the Japanese language laboratories and the faculty hall in the department. The reasons for their study of the Japanese language and their future career aspirations, and he motivated them, praising their level of use of the Japanese language, as well as conducting an inspection tour of electronic exam halls and credit hour halls.
