The Minister of Youth and Sports participates in the celebration of "Our Children of Determination... Our Wealth" at the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies for Childhood

Prof. Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, participated in the discussion of a doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies for Childhood at Ain Shams University entitled “Frameworks for addressing national youth conferences in the Egyptian press and its relationship to adolescents’ attitudes towards community and political participation” (a comparative study between the paper press and the electronic press).

         
   
         

He was received by Prof. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Howayda Al-Gebali, Dean of the Faculty, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Kahki, Director of the Center for People with Special Needs, Prof. Dr. Manal Omar, Professor of Psychiatry, Prof. Dr. Zakaria El-Desouky, Head of Media and Children's Culture Department, Prof. Dr. Amr Nahle, Professor, Department of Media and Children's Culture at the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Sameh Awadallah, Professor, Department of Media and Children's Culture, Dr. Lamis Makkawi, teacher of pediatrics at the faculty, d. Ashraf Shalaby is a teacher in the Department of Media and Children's Culture at the faculty and some specialists and administrators at the faculty and center.

         
   
         

Prior to discussing the thesis, the minister conducted an inspection tour of the center for people with special needs of the Faculty of Graduate Studies for Childhood, and participated in the celebration held by the faculty under the title "Our Children of Determination... Our Wealth."

He held friendly conversations with the children and praised the package of services provided by the center for children with special needs and their families.

After that, the Minister of Youth and Sports participated in discussing the scientific thesis of the researcher “Enas Saad Zagloul.” The discussion committee included Professor Dr. Enas Mahmoud Hamed, Professor of Media, College of Graduate Studies for Childhood, and Dean of Al Jazeera Higher Media Institute, supervisor and discussant, Prof. Dr. Asmaa Mohamed El-Sirsi, Professor of Psychology, Department of Psychology, Faculty of Graduate Studies, Ain Shams University.

The importance of this study lies in the fact that it is one of the first media studies on the journalistic (electronic - paper) treatments of national youth conferences and their relationship to shaping adolescent habits towards community and political participation.

The importance of this study is also to present a realistic picture of the media treatment in Egyptian newspapers (electronic - paper) for national youth conferences and its relationship to adolescents' attitudes towards societal and political participation. From the first national conference for youth until the last national conference in Cairo.
