Announcing the results of the self-sufficiency festival for Theatrical Acting at Ain Shams University in its sixteenth session

The activities of the self-sufficiency festival for theatrical representation at Ain Shams University concluded in its 16th session, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Education and Student Affairs, and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Tamer Rady, Advisor to the Vice President of Education and Student Affairs for Student Activities , student Aya Hisham, head of the Student Union, student Abdullah Yassin, vice president of the union, student Nusrat, Secretary of the Higher Technical Committee, and student Ahmed Gad, assistant secretary of the Higher Technical Committee, and under the supervision of Mr. Mohamed Al-Khatib, Assistant Secretary of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Mr. Mohamed El-Sharqawi, Director of Youth Welfare Department, and Mr. Mustafa Issa, Director of Technical Activity Department.

Eleven teams from the Faculties of Al-Alsun, Education, Science, Law, Agriculture, Engineering, Computers and Information science, business, Arts, Medicine, and Dentistry participated in the festival.

     
 
     

The festival jury, which included Mr. Shadi Sorour, Director General of the Hanager Arts Center at the Egyptian Opera House, the critic and writer artist Bassem Sadek, and Dr. Mahmoud Fouad Sedky, professor of decoration at the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts, announced the result of the competition, where student Mohamed Al-Suri, Faculty of Arts, won the award for the best text for his play. “Silah” came in first place, Mahmoud Hassan Hajjaj came in second place for the play “El-Laila” at the Faculty of Education, and in third place Muhammad Zaki for the play “The Beauty and the Beast” at the Faculty of Computer and Information for his role in the “Silah” show.

In second place, student Samer Mohamed, from the Faculty of Arts, in the “Silah” show, and the third place best actor award, shared equally by Mohamed Salah, the Faculty of Arts, in the “Silah” show, and Mohamed Al-Shami for the “Beauty and the Beast” show, Faculty of Computer and Information, the student, Maryam Mohamed, from the Faculty of Arts, won first place as the best actress for the show “Silah.” The student, Mayar Mohammadi, from the Faculty of Arts, and the student, Doaa Muhammad, from the Faculty of Computer and Information, won the second place award for Best Actress for the “Beauty and the Beast” show.

In third place, as best actress, were student Tahani Essam, Faculty of Arts, for "Silah", and Yousra Yousry, Faculty of Law, for "Legend of Magical Lands." Mohamed Salah, College of Arts, for "Silah", won the Best Director Award. Student Khaled El-Shennawy presented “The Beauty and the Beast” at the Faculty of Computer and Information sciences, and came in second place as the best director of student Ahmed Bahaa for the presentation of “The Legend of Magical Lands” at the Faculty of Law, while the third place was won by the best student director Mina Magdy for the “Isabel” show at the Faculty of Education.

     
 
     

In the award for best presentation, “Silah” Faculty of Arts won first place, and won second place for “Beauty and the Beast” show at the Faculty of Computer and Information science, and “The Legend of Magical Lands” show, Faculty of Law won third place, and the jury prize for best collective performance won “Isabel” show for the Faculty of Education.

The jury also awarded a Certificate of Excellence to Nadine Ashraf, Faculty of Computers and Information, for “Beauty and the Beast” makeup, Reham El-Najjar, Faculty of Computer and Information science, for the costumes of the “Beauty and the Beast” show, and Mahmoud Ibrahim Al Husseini for lighting the Beauty and the Beast show at the Faculty of Computers and Information science, and Hani Farouk for designing Beauty and the Beast reviews. The Faculty of Computer and Information sciences, Mohamed Salah, for designing the decoration of the Earth farce, Faculty of Agriculture, and student Youssef Mohi, for designing the reviews of the show “Earth Farce” in the Faculty of Agriculture, and Mohamed Bakr for musical composition, for the show “Silah” of the Faculty of Arts, and student Mohamed Walid about the role of the statue in the show “Uthora.” The Land of Magic” Faculty of Law, and Lubna Al-Mansi for the clothes and accessories of the show “The Legend of Magical Lands” at the Faculty of Law.
