The President of Ain Shams University witnesses the honoring of Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center for Egyptian and African Ideal Mothers

The Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center, under the chairmanship of Bishop Jeremiah and the President of the Center, honored a large group of exemplary mothers from Egypt, southern Sudan, Ethiopia and Côte d'Ivoire for their efforts in bringing up their children and the role they played in providing human models that are proud of all.

The honoring was in the presence of Prof. Dr. Abdul Wahab Ezzat, Rector of the University, Major Refaat Kumsan and Prof. Dr. Hanan Al-Saeed Director of the Open Education Center.

In his speech during the ceremony, Bishop Ibrahim, Bishop-General of the Orthodox Coptic Orthodox Center, stressed that the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center is keen every year to honor mothers for their general role in building society, pointing out that success, peace and progress in different societies are caused by the mother.

Prof. Dr. Abdul Wahab Ezzat, President of Ain Shams University, stressed that the university is never late to help our children with special abilities and Ain Shams University was the first university to have a representative of students with special abilities in the University Students Union.

Major Refaat Kumsan Advisor to the Prime Minister for Election Affairs pointed out that Egypt is one of the first countries to recognize women since the dawn of history. He added that the Egyptian woman is a symbol of strength and beauty throughout the ages, and that honoring the Egyptian mother must be continuous and not limited to a specific time.

The ceremony witnessed the honoring of a number of African mothers and mothers of deaf and hard of hearing children for their efforts in raising their children and overcoming the many obstacles that have passed to prove to all that their children are capable of success and excellence despite all challenges. As well as honoring deaf and hard of hearing students participating in the art competition "Photography, Painting and Sculpture".

The deaf and hearing-impaired team presented a number of artistic performances during the celebration, in addition to honoring the Technical Committee for the Deaf and the Hearing Impaired from the Faculty of Specific Education, Cairo University, Ain Shams and a number of plastic artists, and honoring deaf students participating in the drawing competition.
