A visit by the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector to the Martyr Ahmed Shawky Hospital for Elderly Medicine

In the interest of the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector at Ain Shams University to play its role in the development of social and humanitarian awareness, the sector, in cooperation with the Rotary Club of Heliopolis Sporting, organized a visit to the Martyr Ahmed Shawky Hospital for Elderly Medicine at Ain Shams University to participate and raise morale for them, and present them with gifts, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and in the coordination and presence of Prof. Dr. Jihan Ragab, Advisor to the Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and in the presence of Dr. Shahira Samir, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service Affairs and Environmental Development, in the presence of Dr. Reem Al-Alfi, a teacher at the Faculty of Commerce and a member of the Rotary Club, and coordinated by Prof. Dr. Hala Sweid, Director of the Elderly Hospital at Ain Shams University, and Engineer Heba Al-Marsafawi, President of the Rotary Club of Heliopolis Sporting, and supervised by Professor Suhail Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.

         
   
         

Dr. Hala Sweid, director of the hospital, stated that the hospital is the first and pioneer of its kind in the Middle East to treat elderly patients of all categories, and the hospital is supervised by a group of faculty members of the elderly medicine faculty at Ain Shams University, and that the hospital is a pioneer in the field of scientific and academic research, and it has an internal department Intermediate care, intensive care, cognitive and functional rehabilitation unit, and outpatient clinics.

         
   
         

The attendees praised the cleanliness of the hospital, the services provided, the attention to patients, and the hospital system.
