The envoys returning from abroad praise the role of Ain Shams University in caring of scientists

under the auspices of prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, Scholarship welfare Office, in cooperation with the Faculty of Education, Ain Shams University, organized a symposium during which prof. Dr. Hazem Rashid, Dean of the faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. Abdel Nasser Rashad, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, prof. Dr. Hanan Helmy Latif, Director of the International Cooperation Office at the faculty, prof. Dr. Alaa Abdel Halim, Head of the Physics Department at the faculty, and Dr. Abdullah Sami, General Supervisor of the Scholarship welfare Office at Ain Shams University, with faculty staff delegates to scientific missions to study a doctorate abroad.

During the symposium, they discussed ways to benefit from the experiences of faculty staff returning from abroad in the education and scientific research systems of the faculty and university.

         
   
         

Prof. Dr. Hazem Rashid, Dean of the faculty, elaborates the faculty’s vision and role in taking care of the faculty staff and its delegates, and shedding light on the role which they provide to serve the community in various fields, which highlights the important role that the faculty’s delegates play as representatives of the University at the international level.

On the other hand, prof. Dr. Abdel Nasser Rashad, Vice Dean of the faculty of Education for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, stressed the importance of the role played by the Office of Envoys at the university, and highlighted the inclusion of eleven members of the faculty in the Stanford list of the best 2% of the university's scientists, including prof. Dr. Alaa Abdel Halim, head of the physics department at the faculty.

Dr. Abdullah Sami, General Supervisor of the Scholarship welfare Office, presented the programs offered by the university to serve the faculty staff delegates from the university to study in the best universities around the world, During the symposium, His Excellency discussed some successful examples of university envoys returning from abroad and presented information about ways to benefit from the university’s support for these delegates in various fields, including project financing, applying for international projects, publishing expenses in prestigious scientific fields, international publishing rewards, and applying for a Local and international awards.

Faculty staff who obtained degrees from abroad pointed out the importance of the role played by the university and the state in paying attention to scholarship and grant programs that contribute greatly to cultural exchange between countries, In addition to contributing to working with a distinguished research team with a global reputation in the field of specialization, which raises the professional and academic capabilities and competencies that have contributed to the publication of many researches in prestigious scientific journals as a member of the international research team, Which contributes to the manufacture of scientific schools of Ain Shams University scientists that compete with the best scientific and international schools.

   
   

The delegates from faculty staff talked about the role that the university plays in encouraging scholarships and scientific research, and they also expressed their desire to transfer the experience and skills they learned abroad to the university, to contribute to raising the university’s global ranking and achieving the university’s leadership role as one of the most important international universities.

Dr. Osama Ashraf Youssef and Dr. Nora Sami Sidki praised the teachers of the Physics Department at the Faculty of Education and the returnees of scholarships from Russia and Hungary for the great efforts made by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, and the clear impact on encouraging science and scientific research, raising professional cadres, and refining researchers with many skills by encouraging travel opportunities, missions and grants to various countries of the world, in addition to his constant keenness to encourage university scientists to publish distinguished scientific by supporting scientific research and disbursing rewards for international publication.

Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, confirmed that these meetings reflect the importance of integrating faculty staff returning from abroad into the university community and providing them with means of support to benefit from their expertise in developing the education and scientific research systems at the university.
