The closing of the activities of the 18th annual conference of the Adult Education Center at Ain Shams University

The 18th annual conference of the Center for Adult Education at Ain Shams University, titled Adult Education and Entrepreneurship in the Arab World, concluded its activities, as the attendees emphasized the importance of adult education in refining entrepreneurial skills, with a focus on entrepreneurship education as a planning guide for all stages of education.

Dr. Islam Al-Saeed, Director of the Adult Education Center at the university and the conference rapporteur announced a number of his recommendations directed to each sector, which came as follows:

The conference recommended the ministries concerned to include competencies in building the capacity of teachers, integrate the standards of entrepreneurship programs as an accreditation requirement for educational institutions, design entrepreneurial activities at all educational levels to support building the value of personal entrepreneurship, allocate incentive awards for the best entrepreneurial practices in each sector, and prepare and organize media campaigns planned to re-establish Shaping community awareness towards social, economic and digital entrepreneurship.

Institutionalizing civil society centers working in entrepreneurship, setting up a mechanism for accrediting and empowering them, and establishing follow-up departments for entrepreneurship plans in each ministry and authority.

In addition to launching an electronic platform for entrepreneurship that documents modern skills and trends and presents the most important experiences with reference to the field codes and the bodies responsible for providing assistance and their steps to be a means of monitoring and facilitating the support of the institution and the entrepreneurial individual.

The conference urged universities to design multiple methodological maps that include a culture of resistance to change for entrepreneurship and coordination between different colleges, chambers of commercial activities, unions and the Ministry of Planning to link the graduate to the general economic orientation, attract universities to the heads of economic activity to create effective business incubators in all disciplines, as well as design and prepare specialized training guides for entrepreneurship. Inclusion in student activities; Including the skills and areas of entrepreneurship in the research map of the different departments.

The conference also recommended the General Authority for Adult Education to prepare systematic maps for adult literacy in accordance with the orientation of entrepreneurship; Training the concerned cadres to disseminate this approach, presenting their skills to the learners, preparing a documentation guide for successful initiatives, and measuring their impact on the learner and the community.

Finally, the conference recommended that adult education centers prepare an organizational guide for entrepreneurship skills, prepare a video library of a summary of conference research and broadcast it to those interested to document this trend, in addition to coordinating an Arab research project on mechanisms for developing education for entrepreneurship at the level of universities and centers.

Coordination with the General Authority for Adult Education to discuss a mechanism for launching a pioneering initiative within the national project to eradicate illiteracy.

It is worth noting that the three-day conference was held under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Neven Al-Kabbaj; Minister of Social Solidarity, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development and Chairman of the Center's Board of Directors, in cooperation with the General Authority for Adult Education headed by Dr. Islam Al-Saeed, Director of the Center and Conference Rapporteur.

He discussed four main themes: the first theme is entrepreneurship and the development of adult education programs in the Arab world, the second theme is entrepreneurship and the future of adult education institutions in the Arab world, the third theme is adult education and sustainable development for adults in the Arab world, the fourth theme is entrepreneurship and small business management for adults, It also includes seven scientific sessions, spread over three days, including: (basic and reference working papers, research, and experiences of some entrepreneurship companies and local, Arab and African bodies in the field of adult education), in addition to holding two workshops in support of young researchers.
