Eng. Hamdi Osama at the Faculty of Engineering wins the first place in the national competition for prosthetic devices

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Omar Al-Husseini, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Engineer Hamdi Osama, the candidate as a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, won the first place in the field of prosthetics and orthotics that are controlled by muscle signals during the national competition for prosthetic devices, which was organized from 9/1/2021 to 11/15/2021.

Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, handed over the prizes to the winners on Tuesday 8/2/2021 during the celebration organized by the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology in cooperation with the Armed Forces.

Engineer Hamdy Osama participated in the competition with his graduation project for the year 2021 on behalf of the work team.

A team of graduates from Class of 2021 participated in this project at the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University - Department of Mechatronics Engineering: Ahmed Magdy, Aya Amr, Omaima Ibrahim, Buthaina Tawfek, Hamdi Osama, Salem Magid, Abdul Rahman Ahmed, Abdul Rahman Akmal, Youmna Attia, and Yustina El-Qies, and this project was carried out under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Awad, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechatronics Engineering.
