The Ain Shams University female volleyball team defeated its counterpart at Delta University 3-0, and the Ain Shams University students’ team defeated its counterpart at Egypt Informatics University 3-0, in the framework of the championship matches of the 49th Egyptian Universities Martyr Al-Rifai tournament held under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, hosted by Ain Shams University under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, in the covered stadiums sponsored by the university’s youth and the fields of the Faculty of Engineering. Handball matches are also held in the Olympic Village at Mansoura University.
The championship activities will continue from February 12 to 27 in the games: volleyball, basketball, five-a-side football, badminton, speedball and judo, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Tamer Rady, Advisor to the Vice President for Education and Student Affairs for Student Activities, and Mr. Muhammad Al-Khatib, Assistant Secretary for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Muhammad Al-Sharkawy, Director General of the General Administration of Youth Welfare and Mr. Mohamed Hassan, Director of Sports Activity Department, and a. Fatima Khalifa, and he trained the university's volleyball team, Captain Yasser Abdel Hadi Mohamed.
