After the activities of Expo 2020 Dubai... Ain Shams students are hosted by Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi and the Egyptian Cultural Attaché in Abu Dhabi

Ain Shams University students complete their tours at the International Expo, which provides an opportunity for countries to showcase their cultures and capabilities, as well as gather people from all over the world to hold an international event that includes solutions to the basic challenges facing humanity to take the first steps towards a green economy, as well as a festival that celebrates with wonders and imagination, it gives visitors the opportunity to experience and explore everything new through the exchange of ideas and work in an atmosphere of joy, pleasure and passion for knowledge.

The countries participating in the design of their pavilions adopted the slogan "A better city for a better life", which focused on countries' strategies for smarter and more sustainable initiatives and projects, by linking regional priorities and global challenges, as stated in the sustainable development goals of the United Nations.

The students’ tours within the pavilions of the participating countries came with enthusiasm and determination to see all that is new in all fields and to seize the opportunity to open up to the world and expand perceptions, as the whole world is today at Expo 2020 Dubai. For example, but not limited to, they visited the Bahrain pavilion, which has an impressive design and unparalleled architecture, especially the innovative technology used in the manufacture of carbon fiber and fiberglass, even the methods of spinning used such as machine knitting, traditional embroidery, and much more.

The Netherlands Pavilion offers new solutions towards sustainable water, energy and food, offering a model of a vertical conical farm with an unprecedented special climate system.

The German Pavilion is characterized by optimism and orientation towards the future, and includes many inventions, designs and solutions aimed towards sustainability, and many recreational activities.

         
   
         

The Spain Pavilion is made of recyclable materials including wood and iron. As well as the pavilion of France, which offers the finest types of handicrafts, and the latest innovations and cultural experiences, as well as the pavilion of Belgium, Sweden and Britain, which focuses on space sciences and artificial intelligence and offers wonderful innovations and an amazing glimpse into the future, as well as the pavilion of Mauritius, India, China, Japan, Canada, Brazil and the United States of America, and the pavilion of Australia Which offers a distinctive package of its innovative inventions, the pavilion of Tonga, Monaco, Belgium, Sweden and Korea.

At the end of each day, the students review among themselves the best of what they have seen and exchange opinions and proposals in various fields, as well as exchanging experiences in various fields due to the different fields of study of each of them, which enriches the personality of each of them.

Ms. Reham Ahmed El-Otaifi, head of the student delegation, attended with representatives of the Ministry of Education at their invitation, attended the activities of announcing the launch of the National Festival for Education, Technology and Innovation to be held on March 1, 2022 AD. The work of the organization, the invited entities from schools and universities, and mechanisms for granting grants to innovators were also discussed, in addition to attending the innovation symposium “From Research to Marketing” within the Innovation Council’s series of seminars, which confirms in most of its axes that the science of marketing is the next locomotive of success for the world.

After the Expo 2020 events, Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi hosted a delegation from Ain Shams University in coordination with the UAE Ministry of Education. It was a unique welcome for our students to represent all fields of science from the university's faculties. Khalifa University reviewed their graduate programs in the medical and engineering fields... etc. and the conditions for obtaining scholarships for them, as well as reviewing their international classification, international partnerships and twinning programs with other universities. Then representatives of Khalifa University accompanied the delegation on a tour of the university, especially the teaching laboratories for students of the College of Medicine.

         
   
         

The visit of Khalifa University was followed by the response to the invitation of the Egyptian Cultural Attaché in Abu Dhabi to welcome our students. The attaché discussed the advantages of Expo, the unique design of the Egyptian pavilion in the exhibition, and their strategies towards marketing for Egyptian universities to be among the best universities recommended for international students to study there within the plan to attract expatriates to Egyptian universities in line with the plans of state on this matter.

The UAE Ministry of Education, Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi, and the Egyptian Cultural Attaché were given a book of Ain Shams University, which reviews its honorable history, and other brochures that review the university’s programs, its international classification, its international companies, its research centers ... etc., within the framework of the university’s programs marketing plans. He praised Everyone agrees on the quality of form and content that befits the university's prestige.

In this context, the distinguished students of the university expressed their great happiness at being nominated for this honor to be part of this global event and to motivate them for creativity, development and excellence in all fields, as attending Expo 2020 Dubai is an irreplaceable opportunity and they see that students and youth should take advantage of it, especially That the whole world came to Dubai with all its creativity and innovations, which opens the horizons of creativity and excellence in front of all visitors of all categories and nationalities.

The students also extended their sincere thanks and appreciation to Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, for giving them the opportunity to represent the university in this single event. This is not new to his distinguished person in supporting students and his unique vision towards providing all mechanisms to hone their skills because of his belief that they are the men of the new future.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the work team in the Education and Student Affairs Sector under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and the team in the International Cooperation Sector under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Shahira Samir, “Executive Range of the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector,” who contributed to the success of the scientific journey from the preparation stage that began several months ago until the delegation’s travel and follow-up and overcoming all matters in a manner befitting the university’s position and ensuring that students benefit optimally.
