The Faculty of Science organizes the first forum for graduates of the Department of Chemistry

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rajaa Muhammad Al-Satuhi, Dean of the Faculty of Science at Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Reem Al-Kabariti, Director of Alumni Department at Ain Shams University and General Supervisor of Ain Shams University Alumni Association, the Department of Chemistry at the Faculty of Science organized the "first forum for graduates of the Department of Chemistry" in the hall of Prof. Dr. Sabri Abdel Muttalib at the faculty, in the presence of a group of officials and managers of leading companies in the fields of chemicals, and a group of department graduates, Faculty professors and heads of departments.

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ragaa El-Sutohy, Dean of the Faculty, said in his speech during the meeting that the Chemistry Department is one of the oldest and most prestigious departments of chemistry in Egyptian universities at the level of the Republic and the most scientifically productive. He welcomed the graduates of the faculty to their second home, the Faculty of Science, and expressed his gratitude and thanks to the university administration represented by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Reem Al-Kabariti, Director of Alumni Department at Ain Shams University, for their continuous support and great interest in the graduates, and thanked them for establishing an alumni association at the university.

         
   
         

Dean of the Faculty, said that this is the first time that the Faculty of Science at Ain Shams University has witnessed the organization of these events, wishing success to all participating parties.

While Prof. Dr. Amani Suleiman, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, expressed her happiness to be in the Department of Chemistry, because it is a common department of all departments of the Faculty.

Prof. Dr. Eman Abdel Azim, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, said that graduates of the Faculty of Science, with its rich departments, are present in various workplaces, including companies, factories and other business arenas, wishing them success at all levels.

For his part, Prof. Dr. Ayman Ayoub, Head of the Chemistry Department, expressed his gratitude to the faculty administration represented by the Dean and Vice Deans, and praised the heavy attendance of the graduates and their keenness to participate in the forum’s activities. He explained that this indicates the desire for cooperation and communication between the graduates and the faculty. He approved two new undergraduate programs, stressing that those in charge of the department are trying hard to keep the graduate directly connected to the labor market.

         
   
         

Dr. Karim Suleiman, the official of the Alumni Association at the Faculty of Science, indicated in his speech that the Alumni Association represents a bridge of communication between the university and its alumni. It also helps open channels of communication between the alumni and the business community and enhance knowledge and professional exchange between the university and the graduate community and the labor market community, encouraging the Faculty administration to make further developments in the field. The curricula and educational programs of the department in particular.

He also advised Faculty and department graduates to develop themselves and the professional and life skills they possess in order to keep pace with the foreign labor market.

The forum hosted many successful models of the department's graduates that provided students and graduates with valuable information on professional opportunities to make informed decisions and enable them to enter the labor market. and assisting them in gaining professional expertise and experience.
