This morning Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, honored the Faculty of Business team that won first place in the CFA Financial Analysts Research Contest, which is held by the CFA Society for the year 2022 at the level of 24 Egyptian universities, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Khaled Kadri, Dean of the Faculty of Business, Prof. Dr. Hayam Wahba, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, and the official supervisor of the CFA team at the Faculty of Business, Ain Shams University.

It was confirmed by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, that the university’s constant and continuous keenness to support its students and benefit from these cadres inside the university, in addition to their joining the labor market abroad. wide for them over the whole world in light of the economic openness the world is witnessing,

While Prof. Dr. Khaled Kadry, Dean of the Faculty of Business at the university, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the management of Ain Shams University represented by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, and the vice presidents for their support and provision of all material and moral capabilities to the participating team, and their support for various research activities that refine students’ skills to make them more competitive in the labor market.

His Excellency explained that the members of the Faculty of Business team at Ain Shams University were able, after conducting many financial analysis, forecasting economic indicators, evaluating international risks and the company's performance in relation to social responsibility, environmental performance and governance, to win, with the aim of determining the fair market value of an international company active in the health services sector Contest topic.

In addition, Prof. Dr. Hayam Wahba said that the activities of preparing to enter the competition went through many stages, and it started by announcing the competition for students of the fourth year, the Arabic language department, the English language, the French department, as well as the students of the third and fourth year with the credit-hour system in both Arabic and English, and postgraduate students at the college. This was followed by examining the candidates’ applications by holding personal interviews for the applicants, passing through the third stage, which is a qualifying exam for the applicants and conducting an internal research competition within the Faculty of Business, Ain Shams University as a simulation of the official competition CFA Research. Students who managed to reach the last stages were selected to be the team that Like the university in the current year, it also clarified that the period of preparation of the team and work for the competition took 6 months.

She also thanked the CFA Society Egypt and all its employees for the important role they voluntarily play in supporting students in various research activities.

It is worth noting that Ain Shams University, represented by the Faculty of Business, is the only Egyptian university that won first place in the CFA competition four times and previously represented Egypt in the regional competitions for Europe and the Middle East, which were held in London, Dublin, and Zurich during the years 2013, 2018 and 2019.
