The participation of Ain Shams University professors in the jury of the ESEF Science and Engineering Competition

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, today a group of Ain Shams University professors participated in the ESEF Egypt Science and Engineering Fair, which is held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Tarek Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, to judge the final qualifications to join the Intel International Science and Engineering Competition in the United States American, and they are: from the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ghada Bassiouni, and from the Faculty of Science, Prof. Dr. Jamal Shebl, Dr. Michel Fahmy, Dr. Tamer Abdullah, Dr. Noureddine, Dr. Abdul Rahman Abdul Ghaffar, Dr. Wael Samir, Dr. Dia Ibrahim Nasr, Dr. Mahmoud Mohamed Said, and from the Faculty of Dentistry, and Dr. Mohammed Al-Bahrawi.

Prof. Dr. Ghada Bassiouni, Professor of Chemistry at the Faculty of Engineering, confirmed that choosing Ain Shams University professors to participate in the arbitration of this competition confirms the university's position and role in supporting research projects, and being a link between schools and universities.

     
 
     

She pointed out that the competition targets school students (pre-university), and that the maximum age for applicants is 21 years, pointing out that the final filtering witnessed participation from all governorates of the Arab Republic of Egypt, with research projects in the fields of science and engineering aimed at serving the community, both in the form of Research groups or individuals, and the winner will represent Egypt in the Intel International Science and Engineering Competition worldwide, in the United States of America.

It is noteworthy that the Intel ISEF-International Science and Engineering Fair, or the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, is a competition held every year, concerned with the field of scientific research in 17 fields; Engineering, computer science, sociology and others. This competition is considered the largest international competition in the field of scientific research for the pre-university level. The competition hosts nearly 1,700 participants from more than 1600 secondary schools in more than 60 countries around the world. This competition was established by the Foundation of the Society for Science and Public The competition is sponsored by Intel Corporation until 2019. This competition began as a local competition in 1950 AD and then became an international competition in 1958 AD, and Egypt won first place in the world in a previous round of the competition.
