The Red Sea coast from Hurghada to Safaga, a field study for the students of the Department of Geography at the Faculty of Girls

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Amira Youssef, Dean of the Faculty of Girls, Ain Shams University, the Department of Geography at the Faculty conducted on Monday morning, March 14, 2022 the field study scheduled for the fourth year geographically and continuing until Friday, March 18, 2022, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Seham Hashem, Head of the Geography Department and Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Khalaf Allah The assistant plant environment in the Botany Department, Dr. Enas Farghali, the assistant teacher Mayada Sakr and the teaching assistant Asma Ashraf.

The study will take place on the Red Sea coast from Hurghada to Safaga. On the first day, stops were made on the road to study as follows:

1. Al-Zafarana wind power plant.

2. Gabal El-Zeit station for generating electricity from wind.

3. Galala Marine Plateau (wadis, streams, wildfire cones, rejuvenation points, quista, desert varnish and Bahada).

4. Phenomena associated with the coast (bays, heads, tongues and sea barriers).

5. The sabkhas, salt domes, mud cracks, and the geomorphological phenomena associated with them.

6. Natural plants and plants and their classification according to different environments.

7. Secluded hills.

The mentioned natural phenomena were studied in the field using field study equipment, and a seminar was held to present what was done along the road from Ain Sukhna to Hurghada.
