Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Omar Al-Husseini, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Prof. Dr. Mostafa Refaat, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, the Office of International Cooperation at the Faculty of Engineering at the university and the French Cultural Center in Cairo are organizing an introductory symposium on the Refaa Al-Tahtawy grant, within the framework of the scientific cooperation agreement signed between the Faculty of Engineering - Ain Shams University and the School of Architecture in Grenell France and its coordinators Dr. Noha Gamal Saeed, Assistant Professor, Department of Urban Design and Planning, and Dr. Philippe Livigno at the School of Architecture in Grenelle, France.
Where Refa'a El-Tahtawy scholarship was announced by the French Cultural Office, this scholarship is fully funded and allows one year of study in France. Ariel Coupe, University Cooperation Officer at the French Cultural Center, with Prof. Aya Ashraf grants conditions, and conducts a workshop on how to write a CV and a motivation letter that states the student’s desire to apply for this scholarship in the presence of Mrs. Nourhan Madkour, Coordinator of the International Cooperation Office and Executive Director of the Office.
It was confirmed by Dr. Gamal Saeed, the coordinator of scientific exchange and international students at the International Cooperation Office at the Faculty of Engineering, emphasized the importance of students being acquainted with the various opportunities to study abroad and how to write a CV and a motivational letter. Engy Al-Dammak, Coordinator of International Agreements, the importance of these files in applying for grants, which increases the chance of student acceptance, and the proposed workshop helps the student to prepare these files.
