The role of the clinical pharmacist in confronting COVID-19 in a seminar at the Faculty of Pharmacy

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Amani Osama Kamel, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Reem Al-Kabariti, Director of Alumni Department at the university, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Maha Nasr, Assistant Professor at the Department of Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy and Director of the Department of International Relations and Academic Cooperation at the Faculty of Pharmacy, and within the framework of the series of seminars held by the Faculty of Pharmacy during the academic year 2021/2022, a seminar was held on “The Role of the Clinical Pharmacist in Confronting COVID-19”, during which Dr. Ibrahim Abdo - Director of Covid-19 units at Children's Cancer Hospital 57357, and a graduate of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Ain Shams University in 2009 gave lectures.

         
   
         

The seminar included steps to prepare a full working team to deal with cases of corona in Hospital 57357, the role of the clinical pharmacist in facing Covid-19, comparison between different treatment protocols, and the most important recommendations in this regard.

         
     
         

The seminar was presented via the zoom application and through the live broadcast on the Faculty's social networking page through interactive screens in the stands, in the presence of a number of faculty members and Faculty students.
