The choir of Ain Shams University, " Rouh El Sharq", performed the first nights of the evenings of the Ministry of Culture, entitled "Hall Hilalak " on the stage of the Hanager Arts Center square at the Egyptian Opera House, which begins its sixth edition by celebrating the anniversary of the victories of the tenth of Ramadan, in the presence of Dr. Enas Abdel Dayem, Minister of Culture, Dr. Salem Al-Malik, Director General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization “ISESCO”, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Tamer Rady, Advisor to the Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs, and Mr. Khaled Galal, Head of Production Sector The Cultural Ministry of the Ministry of Culture and a group of artists and intellectuals, a number of leaders of the Ministry and a large crowd of honored families and media professionals.
The choir of "Rouh Al Sharq" presented a distinguished show that included a group of patriotic and enthusiastic songs, which won the audience's admiration, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Education and Student Affairs, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Tamer Rady, Advisor to the Vice President of Education and Student Affairs.
In her speech, Dr. Enas Abdel Dayem, Minister of Culture, stressed that the memory of the victories of the tenth of Ramadan will remain an inspiring model for young people and a catalyst for completing and upgrading society.
She added that the current period that the country is experiencing is a new crossing towards more achievements in various fields, she added that this precious occasion calls for pride and celebration every year of the miracle of victory that stunned the whole world, noting that the restoration of the memory of the immortal heroics of the Egyptian army and its valiant soldiers, charts a bright path for the new generations, and stressed that the solidarity of the people and the support of the arts for the Obour Epic created immortal works of art, She explained that honoring the symbols and valiant heroes of the armed forces is a national duty and gratitude for the sacrifices that made victory, achieved miracles, and restored dignity.
Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs, confirmed that the participation of the choir of Ain Shams University in the opening ceremony of the first evening of the Ministry of Culture, “Hall Hilalak” in memory of the victories of the tenth of Ramadan, is a tribute to the university and the choir team, pointing out that the Orient Spirit Choir was the main and only paragraph in this celebration, which was witnessed by a group of artists and intellectuals, during which a large number of the heroes of the armed forces were honored, in addition to honoring a number of artists who participated in works of art glorifying the heroism of our valiant armed forces.
He urged the necessity of adorning the spirit of great victory, preserving what our ancestors achieved, and working hard, lasting and continuous, while insisting on achieving successive achievements and victories that befit our dear homeland, Egypt.
Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud praised the students’ talents and the beauty of their voices, which amount to professionalism, expressing his happiness with the university’s choir, which has become an honorable model for Ain Shams University in various artistic events and cultural forums inside and outside Egypt.
He stressed that the university administration headed by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini provides all means of support for the choir team, as the university believes in the importance of student activities because of their role in building the student’s personality and providing a graduate with an integrated personality.
On the other hand, Prof. Dr. Tamer Rady, Advisor to the Vice President of Education and Student Affairs, said that the university choir presents various forms of music and singing, and takes the art of “Ekabella” as a distinctive lyrical color, he also achieved many important achievements and participations in many artistic events and cultural forums, including his participation in the Ibdaa Festival over its nine sessions, which are organized annually by the Ministry of Youth, in which he received many awards, and participated in many national events.
In his speech, director Khaled Galal, head of the cultural production sector, explained that the Hall Helalak program, which lasts for 15 days, includes activities to celebrate the selection of Cairo as the capital of culture for the Islamic world.
It is noteworthy that during the celebration, the Minister of Culture honored a number of heroes of the October War, and a number of artists who participated in national works, and the guest of Egypt, Dr. Salem Al-Malik, Director General of ISESCO, participated in their honor.
