The Graduate Studies Sector at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Ain Shams University, is preparing to organize a forum for young researchers in its eighth session under the title "Humanitarian Studies and Digitization between Theory and Practice", under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the College, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ashraf Attia, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs.
Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, said that the theme of this year’s forum is consistent with the steps taken by the Faculty of Al-Alsun in the last two years to develop its study programs at the postgraduate level, as the College implemented the Translation Technology Program in the academic year 2020-2021 as one of the interdisciplinary programs that combine the translation specialization and the field of intelligence Artificial and auxiliary technological applications in the translation process.
She pointed out that the choice of the forum's topic came to keep pace with modern trends in human studies in general and in studies of language, literature and translation in particular.

Ashraf Attia, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, said that the Young Researchers Forum is an important research and scientific platform in exchanging visions and ideas between researchers and specialists, noting that the forum is held on three axes: the axis of linguistic studies, the axis of literary studies, and the axis of translation studies, and each axis includes a number of New research topics and ideas that will be discussed by the forum participants through research papers and discussions over two days.
He added that language sciences are closely related to digital technology through many technological applications used in building linguistic databases, linguistic repertoires and in machine translation, in addition to digital platforms becoming one of the important tools in presenting literary and cognitive production, so new concepts such as interactive literature and narration have emerged. Digital, digital text, and other modern concepts and trends that the forum will discuss this year.
He explained that 22 researchers from various Egyptian universities are participating in this year's forum, and this year the forum will host Moroccan novelist Abdel Wahed Estito, one of the pioneers of digital literature in the Arab world, and Dr. Khaled Al-Ghamry Khaled Al-Ghamry is Professor of Computational Linguistics at Ain Shams University, and one of the founders of the "Arab Content Monitor on the Internet" of the "Arab Thought Foundation".
