Climate change and its impacts on aquatic life and the economy in Egypt...a workshop at the Middle East Research Center

Within the framework of the activities of the cultural season of the Middle East Research Center and future studies for the academic year 2021-2022, the center held a workshop entitled “Climate Changes and Their Effects on Aquatic Biology and the Economy in Egypt,” in which both Assistant Professor Dr. Heba Salah Hamed, Assistant Professor of Fish Physiology, Faculty of Arts, Girls attended Science and Education Ain Shams University and trainer in the qualification program for Egyptian and African climate ambassadors at Ain Shams University, Dr. Eid Rashad, economics teacher, Faculty of Commerce, Ain Shams University, head of the Economic Studies Division at the center, and Dr. Fathi El-Sayed Youssef, economics teacher, Faculty of Business, Benha University.

         
   
         

Prof. Hanan Kamel, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Arts for Education and Student Affairs at Ain Shams University and Head of the Israeli Studies Division at the Center commented on this workshop.

         
     
         

Prof. Dr. Ashraf Mouns, Director of the Center, opened the workshop, welcoming the attendees and expressing his happiness for holding this workshop, which comes at its time, as Egypt will host from 8 to 18 November next the United Nations Climate Change Conference known as COP 2 7 to consider the effects of climate change, as well as innovation Solutions to confront these climate changes and this conference urges world leaders and all relevant sectors to enhance ambition, mobilize partnerships, increase investment in scientific and innovative approaches to confront these changes, and how to better prepare to deal with current and future changes, and for all of this and to keep pace with current events. This scientific workshop is to spread a culture of awareness of regional and global issues, and it is a very important message that we hope to achieve the goal behind it in a safer and more stable world to serve the human being wherever he is.

         
     
         

The speech was then taken by Assistant Professor Dr. Heba Salah Hamed, Assistant Professor of Fish Physiology, Faculty of Girls, Faculty of Arts, Sciences and Education at Ain Shams University, followed by Dr. Eid Rashad, Economics Teacher, Faculty of Commerce, Ain Shams University, and then the speech by Dr. Fathi El-Sayed Youssef, Economics teacher, Faculty of Commerce, Benha University. Dr. Hanan Kamel, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Arts for Education and Student Affairs at Ain Shams University, commented on this workshop.

After the lecturers finished their speeches, the discussion was opened to the attendees, and the lecturers answered all their inquiries.

In the end, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Mounis, Director of the Center, honored all the participants in this workshop.
