The Vice President of the University for Education and Students honors the university’s teams that ranked first at the end of Martyr Al-Rifai Championship

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, the university concluded its participation in the forty-ninth session of the Martyr Al-Rifai Championship for Universities.

         
   
         

Where Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs, in the presence and supervision of Prof. Dr. Tamer Rady, Advisor to the Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and the supervision of Mr. Muhammad Al-Khatib, Assistant Secretary of the University for Education and Student Affairs, honored the teams of Ain Shams University, which ranked first in a number of sports, as well as honoring the winning teams in the basketball championship final, as well as honoring Prof. Dr. Arafa Salameh, Secretary General of the Universities Sports Federation, and honoring Mr. Bahaa El-Din Mokhtar, Head of the Championship and Competition Sector at the Universities Sports Federation, and presented the shield of Ain Shams University to Mr. Muhammad Al-Sharkawi, Director General of the General Administration of Youth Welfare and Mr. Mohamed Hassan, Director of Sports Activity Department, and Ms. Fatima Khalifa for their efforts in the success of the participation of university students in the championship.

The celebration included honoring Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud to the female basketball team, which won first place on the Egyptian universities in the final match that was held in the covered hall sponsored by the youth of Ain Shams University, after beating its counterpart from higher education with a score of 46/35. His Excellency also honored the female handball team, which ranked first on the Egyptian universities and the gold medal after a long and strong marathon and a more than wonderful performance after winning the final match over his counterpart from Cairo University by 21 points.

         
   
         

The ceremony also witnessed the honoring of the female volleyball team, which won the first place and the gold medal, after its victory over its counterpart from the German University team, 3-0.

His Excellency the university volleyball team also honored the students of the first place and the gold medal after their victory over the Assiut University team 0/3.

As well as honoring the university's basketball team, which won third place after beating its counterpart from the Arab Academy.

During his speech to the students, he confirmed that all participating students from various Egyptian universities won the honor of participating and competing in a sporting spirit in the championship, regardless of their positions.

   
   

Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saoud praised Ain Shams University students and their keenness to participate in various events locally and internationally, especially sports events, appreciating the outstanding performance and honorable representation of students, which is a reflection of the efforts of the university administration in motivating its students to participate in various activities and practice university life in all its forms without being limited to the side Educational and academic only.

It is noteworthy that Martyr Al-Rifai Championship for Egyptian Universities is held annually under the auspices of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with the participation of various Egyptian universities at the level of the Republic.
