Within the framework of the celebration of the Faculty of Business, Ain Shams University, on the 25th anniversary of the graduation of the first batch of the Department of Management and International Trade (Department of Studies in French) DGCI, His Excellency the Ambassador of France, Mr. His Excellency Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, received the French delegation representing the Institute of Corporate Management at the University of Poitiers in France, the French partner of the Faculty of Business at Ain Shams University since 2000.
His Excellency the Ambassador of France opened the celebration by welcoming Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini and all the attendees. He congratulated the success of the Department of Management and International Trade, and emphasized that the students of this department enjoy a distinguished multilingual education led by a high-level French-Egyptian team that is the backbone of this success and reinforces it. Every year, professors and researchers from partner universities contribute to making Ain Shams University a center of excellence in terms of French-Egyptian cooperation, and this education ensures excellence for the department's graduates important positions in Egyptian, French and multinational institutions.
The President of the University indicated in his speech that reaching twenty-five years is an important stage in the life of any institution as it is in the life of any individual. And also looking to the future.
He praised the important role of the partners in this success, led by the French Embassy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Institute of Corporate Governance in Poitiers, and the National Foundation for the Education of Corporate Governance in France.
His Excellency added that Ain Shams University is proud of the success of this partnership, which has continued throughout this period since June 2000, making the Department of Management and International Trade the most sought-after and famous French department among students entering university education in Egypt.
He concluded his speech by saying that fortunately, there is a partnership linking this department with the Institute of Corporate Governance in both the University of Poitiers, the University of Paris-Sorbonne, and the University of Panthéon-Dauphin. These strong partnerships serve as a guarantee of the quality of education and training in the French department. Then he thanked the Ambassador of France for the kind reception and hospitality.
The ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Khaled Kadri, Dean of the Faculty of Business, and Prof. Dr. Hussein Essa, former President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Abdel Alim, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Business for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Eman Abdel Salam, the academic coordinator at the Faculty of Business.
