The Faculty of Archeology begins the second-semester exams for the academic year 2021-2022

under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Education and Student Affairs, and the presidency of Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Al-Damaty, Dean of the Faculty, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hossam Tantawy, Vice Dean of Education and Student Affairs, the Faculty of Archeology at Ain Shams University, represented by the Education and Student Affairs Sector, started the exams for the end of the second semester of the academic year 2021-2022.

         
   
         

Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Al-Damaty, Dean of the Faculty, confirmed that the Faculty is ready to hold the final exams for the first semester of the academic year 2021-2022, while taking the necessary precautionary measures, he explained that the total number of first-year students enrolled in the first university-level taking exams is 201 students distributed over five scientific programs; These are the ancient Egyptian antiquities, Islamic antiquities, Greek and Roman antiquities, archeology and excavations, and the management of museums and archaeological sites.

Prof. Dr. Hossam Tantawy, Vice Dean of Education and Student Affairs, stated that the date set for the start of these exams is Saturday, May 28, 2022 AD, and will continue until Wednesday, June 15, 2022 AD, where the students of the various programs are tested according to the announced schedule, and the committees of the first division include one period from 9 to 11 in the morning, and halls 160, 170, 171 have been allocated to it.

         
   
         

He added that the Student Affairs Department prepared the examination schedules after coordination with the scientific departments and students, and it was announced three weeks before the date of the first exam, and that the standards, rules, and specifications of the exam paper were approved by the Faculty Council require that the time available for answering be proportional to the time scheduled for the test, and the need for the questions to measure the largest possible number of teaching and learning outcomes targeted from the course, and for that, they will combine objective questions and developed short essays. that measures higher-order skills.

On the other hand, Mr. Hossam Hosni, who is acting Secretary of the Faculty, said that the Examination Preparation and Organizing Committee, headed by him, had completed the preparation of the necessary places to hold the exams and the work of purifying and sterilizing them.

Dr. Nawal Jaber, Head of Control, stated that it was previously confirmed that all faculty students received the vaccine for the emerging coronavirus and that many measures were taken in order not to crowd and distance during entry and exit from the exam committees, and to provide a good environment for the exam under the supervision of committee monitors.
