Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Mortada, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Prof. Dr. Sheren Mazloum, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, the Faculty of Arts at Ain Shams University, represented by the Graduate Studies and Research Affairs Sector, has prepared for the exams at the end of the academic year 2021/2022 for graduate students using the credit hour system (PhD - Masters - Diplomas), which begins today, Wednesday, June 1 and continues until Monday 27 June 2022 for 24 days.
Prof. Dr. Moustafa Mortada, Dean of the Faculty, stressed to provide all means to achieve the greatest degree of sterilization and purification of the committees between exam periods, stressing that all members of the examination process wear the mask and the readiness of the medical center, and making sure that the committees are ventilated as well as the control rooms, and he also stressed the Faculty’s keenness to announce the schedules before the start of the exams in an appropriate period .
He also urged the necessity of the presence of the subject professor at the exam premises to answer all questions and inquiries related to the subject.
On her part, Prof. Dr. Shereen Mazloum, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, stated that a runway (A) has been allocated to examination committees, taking into account that half of its capacity is filled by graduate students (PhD - Masters - Diplomas).
Mazloum indicated that the exams are held in two periods, from 9:11 in the morning and from 12:2 in the afternoon, with an hour difference between the two periods, during which the examination hall is sterilized, and 271 pre-master students are tested, 39 are pre-doctoral students and a number of (158) diplomas.
She also indicated that the examination period was divided into two parts: from June 1 to June 14 for the psychology and sociology departments, as they include half of the postgraduate students, in addition to the French language department. Hebrew language, English language, philosophy, European civilization, history, geographic information systems, theatrical criticism and drama, libraries and information (for the first year in which the door to postgraduate studies is opened using the credit hour system.
The prohibitions that expose the student to legal accountability were also announced, such as the prohibition of entering the committees by mobile phone, with the warning that no entry to the committee is allowed after 30 minutes of starting the committee.
