Announcing the results of the Creative Writing Award for the English Language Departments at Ain Shams University

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, the scientific departments of Ain Shams University announced a creative writing award for students to apply to the English language departments in the Faculties of Al-Alsun, Arts, Education and Girls, provided that the works are submitted in English.

The English Department of the Faculty of Girls has formed a jury consisting of Prof. Dr. Gehan Farouk, Professor of Poetry and Criticism, Head of the Department, and Dr. Nadia Abdel Latif, a teacher of poetry and criticism, and Dr. Marwa Sayed Hanafi, teacher of story and comparative literature.

   
   

After examining all the works submitted by the students of the department, the committee announced the winning works, which were submitted to competition at the university level, which are:

First: Poetry

First place: Student Maria Wahba Zaki (third year regular) for the poem "To my dearest" for Shakespeare.

Second place: Student Raneem Moustafa (fourth year regular) for the poem Escape

Second: Short story

First place: Student Salma Mansour Muhammad Sabra (third year regular), on the story "The Fabric has something to say".

Second place: Student Janna Shukri Muhammad Muhammad Al-Mursi (third year regular) for the story "The Normal"

The university’s jury announced the winning of the following works at the level of Ain Shams University:

First: Poetry

First place, student Maria Wahba Zaki – Faculty of Girls - Third Division - On the poem "To my dearest" for Shakespeare

Second place student Maris Adel Mounir - Faculty of Education - for the poem "In honor of my father"

Second: Short story

First place: Student Farah Muhammad - Faculty of Al-Alsun - for the story of the "Olive Tree"

Second place student Salma Mansour Muhammad Sabra – Faculty of Girls - Third Division Regular - about the story "The Fabric has something to say"
