The Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun inaugurates the session devoted to the faculty at the “Study in Japan 2022” Fair

Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University, opened the activities of the session dedicated to the faculty within the activities of the "Study in Japan" exhibition, which is being held for the third time on the land of Ain Shams University and for the first time at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, to promote student exchange and academic cooperation between Egyptian and Japanese universities, under patronage of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, and in the presence of Dr. Yotaru Aoki, Associate Professor at Kyushu University's Department of International Affairs, Director of J-MENA Office, Ms. Ayumi Koyama, Third Secretary of the Japanese Embassy in Egypt, Dr. Tamer Mohamed Nasr, Regional Director of Kyushu University in Egypt, Dr. Marina Habib, Assistant Lecturer at Ain Shams University, Faculty of Al-Alsun, Department of Japanese Language.

Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, said that the exhibition aims to provide information on studying in Japanese universities and the study programs available in English there, in addition to scholarships for Egyptian students.

         
   
         

She explained that the session targets the supporting staff wishing to study masters and doctoral degrees, faculty members who travel to conduct post-doctoral research, in addition to distinguished students in the final years.

She went on to confirm that the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University, in general, seeks, through its programs, which include teaching different languages, teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, and international programs in partnership with prestigious European universities; To build bridges of cooperation with the outside world, as it enjoys a historical, scientific and cultural character that distinguishes it from other comparable colleges in Egypt.

Pointing out that the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University is unique at the level of Egyptian universities in the presence of 15 departments of different languages, and it was approved by the decision of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education in 2015, due to its distinguished educational programs that adopt innovative methods to meet the needs of the local, regional and international labor market To prepare cadres of researchers specialized in the fields of literature, language and translation.

She continued her speech, noting that the Japanese language department was opened at the college in early 2000, where hundreds of students graduated from it at the bachelor's and postgraduate levels, to enhance cooperation between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the State of Japan at the academic, scientific and cultural levels through cooperation agreements with various Japanese universities in the light of Student exchange and the exchange of faculty and support staff.

         
   
         

She also indicated that within the framework of the memorandum of understanding signed between Kyushu University and Ain Shams University in 2019, 4 students were nominated, who received their studies online due to the conditions of the new Corona pandemic, and received certificates of passing the stage from the Japanese university.

She also announced the approval of Kyushu University in the second semester to receive Egyptian students on the university's land after the travel ban was lifted, and two female students were nominated to travel and study for a full year 2022/2023, and a female graduate student was also accepted.
