Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President of the University for Environmental Affairs and Prof. Dr. Amani Osama Kamel, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the university, and Prof. Dr. Rola Milad, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, The Advanced Pharmaceutical Experiments and Research Unit (EAPRU) organized a workshop on “Cleaning Validation in Pharmaceutical Industries”, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Rania Aziz, unit manager, in cooperation with Eva Pharma.
Prof. Dr. Amani Osama Kamel, Dean of the Faculty, said that the aim of this workshop is to achieve integration between industry and universities with the aim of localizing the pharmaceutical industry in Egypt, and that the workshop succeeded in transferring knowledge and training on the skills necessary to ensure the quality of pharmaceutical industries.
The lectures were delivered by Dr. Michael Elhamy - Head of Quality Assurance Department at Eva Pharma, and Dr. Samar Al-Ittihad, Senior Quality Assurance Specialist at Eva Pharma.
The workshop was attended by more than 70 trainees from the faculty, the supporting staff, graduates and students of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Ain Shams University, in addition to the attendees from the Egyptian pharmaceutical companies interested and those in charge of the drug industry in Egypt.
