With the participation of experts from the University of Michigan... The chest unit at the Children's Hospital of Ain Shams University holds workshops for cystic fibrosis patients

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Omar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University and Chairman of the University Hospitals Board of Directors, Prof. Dr. Ali Al-Anwar, Executive Director of Ain Shams University Hospitals, organized the Chest Unit at Ain Shams University Children's Hospital, headed by Prof. Dr. Eman Fouda and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Manal Hamdi Al-Sayed, Head of the Pediatric Departments and Prof. Dr. Yasmine Gamal, Director of the Children's Hospital, a scientific symposium on nutrition in cystic fibrosis patients and the latest scientific protocols for the treatment of this disease.

         
   
         

The symposium was held over three consecutive days, starting on Saturday, July 16, with the participation of experts in cystic fibrosis from the United States of America, and aims to raise awareness of the disease and prepare for the Ain Shams University Children's Hospital to be a center of excellence for the treatment of cystic fibrosis.

Dr. Samia Nasr, Professor of Pediatric Chest Diseases and Genetic Respiratory Diseases at the University of Michigan and coordinator of the Protocol for the Early Detection of Genetic Diseases in Children, especially CF in Egypt and Michigan, USA, and one of the pioneers in discovering and treating Cystic Fibrosis (C.F.) presented a lecture.

The seminar was also hosted by Dr. Trace, a nutritionist at the University of Michigan in the United States of America, in the presence of professors of chest, nutrition and digestive system.
