Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Amira Youssef, Dean of the Faculty of Girls of Arts, Sciences and Education, and Prof. Dr. Hanan Al-Shaer, Vice Dean of Graduate Studies and Research, the Library Committee held its fourth seminar within the framework of the activities of the “Writer and Book” seminar series in the faculty conference hall and via the zoom platform, on the topic of the sociology of the place about a book authored by prof. Dr. Samia Qadri, professor of sociology at the faculty, the book is entitled: "The Sociology of Place from Zemmel to Beyond Foucault".
The seminar touched on rich social concepts in the context of studies of space and heterogeneous spaces and their effective role in human interactions and interactions.
Participation from the audience in the hall and via the zoom platform was effective, and the comments and questions came from the faculty professors in all disciplines to express a desire to deepen research in place studies in the context of interdisciplinary science.
The seminar was moderated by Prof. Dr. Magda Mansour Hassab Al-Nabi, Professor of English Literature at the Faculty and Rapporteur of the Library Committee for this year.
It is worth mentioning that Prof. Dr. Samia Qadri, the presenter of the seminar, kindly gifted a copy of this distinguished author to the faculty library, and we invite all professors, assistant staff, and students to enjoy reading it.
