Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Graduate Studies and Research, toured the Research, Studies and Training Center for Disease Vectors at the Faculty of Science, during which he was accompanied by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ragaa Al-Sutuhi, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Muntasir Abu Zaid, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Amani Suleiman, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Dr. Buthaina Adel Mardan, director of the center, and a group of researchers at the center and the Department of Entomology at the Faculty, to inspect the center and its new development plan.
Where he inspected the training courses currently held, and the remote sensing lab, and Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ragaa, the Dean of the Faculty, informed about the changes that took place in the center during the current month. The deputy also recommended that attention should be paid to classifying the mosquito and sand fly samples in the center and showing them in the image of the virtual lab to be used through the university’s website. He also recommended the creation of a museum for old devices.
Finally, it was recommended by Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, the necessity of paying attention to the maintenance of the equipment in the center in cooperation with the university, or during the compensation for the shortage in cooperation with the Faculty departments and university faculties, or by purchasing new equipment.
