Ain Shams University students visit the Egyptian Red Crescent

Within the framework of the protocol between the Ministry of Solidarity and Ain Shams University, under the auspices of Dr. Nevin Al-Kabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Education and Student Affairs, headed by Prof. Dr. Hisham Temraz, Vice President of Community Service and Development Affairs environment, and supervised by Prof. Dr. Salah Hashem, advisor to the Ministry of Social Solidarity and general coordinator of social solidarity units in universities, and coordination of Prof. Dr. Jihan Ragab, advisor to the Vice President of Community Service and Environmental Development and protocol coordinator for the community service and environmental development sector, the Social Solidarity Unit at Ain Shams University carried out a visit to students from different faculties of the university To the General Center of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society in Nasr City, according to the activities of the inspection visits and human building in the units’ project. The visit dealt with an introductory workshop attended by Mr. Mahmoud Gamal, the coordinator of the Egyptian Red Crescent in universities.

         
   
         

It dealt with introducing the Egyptian Red Crescent, its origins, principles and fields. Through their visit, the students learned about the objectives, principles and services provided by the Egyptian Red Crescent, volunteering and activities within the Egyptian Red Crescent Club, the visit concluded by going to the central operations room and learning how to electronically and field follow-up of the Crescent's work teams during emergencies.
