Ain Shams University Board honors the Faculty of Engineering team that won the tenth place in the annual earthquake competition

The Board of Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, honored the team of students of the Faculty of Engineering that won the tenth place in the annual Seismic Design Competition (SDC) of the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute in the United States of America (EERI), during the monthly meeting of the University Council, which was held at the Center for Networks and Information Technology, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din, Advisor to His Excellency the President of the Republic for Health Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Zaki Badr, the former Minister of Local Development and the former University President, and Professor Mohamed Al-Etreby, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Banque Misr, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and members of the University Board.

Where Prof. Dr. Omar Al-Husseini, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, explained that the team won the tenth place with the participation of 32 international universities, which is a global achievement for the university.

         
   
         

The board also honored the student Youssef Emad Badawy, the winner of the second level in the design and production engineering program at the Faculty of Engineering, who won many gold medals in karate during his representation of the Egyptian national team during the current year as follows:

The gold medal at the World Games in America 2022

The gold medal in the World League in Dubai 2022

The gold medal in the World League in Rabat 2022
