Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, organized the university represented by the Community Service Affairs and Environmental Development Sector headed by Prof. Dr. Ghada Farouk, Acting Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, a comprehensive development convoy for the governorate of Buhaira, the eastern village of Bel-Qatar, Abu Homs Center, in cooperation with Damanhour University, which provided its various services within the framework of the presidential initiative, a decent life, for a period of one day under the supervision of Mr. Suhail Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.
A medical examination was signed for 773 citizens who received free medical services in the internal clinics, pediatrics, ENT, ophthalmology, and orthopedic clinics, in cooperation with the College of Medicine and the College of Dentistry.
In addition to dispensing medicines and treatment free of charge to 650 citizens of the village of Balkatr through the Caravan pharmacy, 13 cases were also transferred to receive free treatment at Ain Shams University hospitals in Cairo.
In the field of literacy, immediate exams were held for 122 citizens under the supervision of Dr. Islam Al-Saeed, Director of the Adult Education Center at Ain Shams University, in cooperation with the Directorate of Adult Education in the governorate, in addition to providing a number of awareness campaigns to those who frequent the convoy, attended by Dr. Tarek Abdel-Fattah, the accredited international trainer at Ain Shams University Hospitals, addressed the issue of school bullying, its causes and treatment, and the issue of proper nutrition and its impact on health.
Ain Shams University continues its service and development role through a series of comprehensive development convoys launched by the university throughout the republic within the framework of the presidential initiative, a decent life, and to achieve the goals of sustainable development and Egypt's Vision 2030.
