The Faculty of Archeology hosts the seventh meeting of the Antiquities Committee sector of the Supreme Council of Universities

The Faculty of Archeology at Ain Shams University hosted under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Hussam Tantawi, Acting Dean of the Faculty, on the third Saturday of September of the year 2022, the seventh meeting of the Antiquities Committee Sector of the Supreme Council of Universities, headed by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Ali, head of the committee and former Minister of Antiquities, and the secretariat of Prof. Dr. Ola Al-Ajezy, the former Dean of the Faculty of Archeology at Cairo University, and in the presence of the members of the committee’s office, including the deans of the faculties of archeology, heads of archeology departments in the faculties of arts, public figures, experts from abroad, and the Technical Secretariat.

         
   
         

The meeting was opened by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Ali, Chairman of the Committee and Supervisor of the Department of Museums and Archaeological Sites Management at the Faculty, thanked the University and Faculty Administration for the good organization and reception, and expressed his happiness that the meeting was held between the sides of the prestigious Ain Shams University, then moved to the agenda, which included ratification of the minutes of the Committee and discussing many important topics and issues related to the scientific, educational and organizational aspect of the antiquities sector and the various faculties of archeology in Egyptian public and private universities, among these topics is the preparation and amendment of the regulations of some archeology Faculties at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and a review of the reports of some sub-committees emanating from the Sector Committee.
