Prof. Dr. Osama Mansour, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Heba Saeed, Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Prof. Dr. Hala Swaid, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and a group of professors from the Faculty of Medicine from different specialties who are interested in genome research, as well as Prof. Dr. Ezzat El-Sobky and professors at the Department of Genetics at the Faculty of Medicine, as well as the work team at the Ain Shams Medical Research Center, witnessed the activities of the Scientific Day for Genome Updates, on the occasion of the visit of Dr. Deborah Morris, Clinical Genetic Sciences Consultant, and Scientific Director of the Genome Laboratory Center and Head of the Clinical Genetics and Genomics Laboratory, and Honorary Research Fellow, Imperial Faculty London.
Dr. Deborah Morris gave a lecture entitled “Genomic testing for cardiovascular disease in the service of genomic medicine for the new National Health System in the United Kingdom.” A number of professors at the Faculty of Medicine also gave scientific lectures in the field of personalized medicine and gene therapy, as well as Prof. Dr. Eman Fouda, a lecture entitled "The Experience of Ain Shams University Hospitals in Cystic Fibrosis for Lung Diseases". The visitor, Dr. Deborah Morris visited the Research Center in Ain Shams Medicine, during which she inspected the Genome Research Unit, Cancer Bank and Clinical Research Unit, and expressed her happiness at the center's level, equipment, research and projects.
