The Faculty of Archeology holds the 10th Board meeting of the faculty

On Monday, 9/11/2022, the Board of the Faculty of Archeology at Ain Shams University held its tenth monthly meeting in the College Board Hall, headed by Prof. Dr. Hossam Tantawi, Acting Dean and Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and the membership of Prof. Dr., Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies, heads of scientific departments at the college, and members of the newly formed Board.

The meeting was initiated by Prof. Dr. Hossam Tantawi, by extending congratulations to the attendees on the advent of the new academic year 2022/2023 and welcoming the new members, wishing everyone success. Then, His Excellency moved to discuss the topics of the meeting, including the approval of the delegated decisions in July and August, such as approving the appointment, assignment and travel of some faculty members and the assignment of new teaching assistants.

         
   
         

With regard to the Education and Student Affairs Sector, the Board discussed the distribution of teaching courses for the first semester, the rules of branching for students of the second level, the formation of committees and units of the sector, and reviewed the most important contents of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit report on the end-of-term exams for the second semester of the past academic year.

By moving the discussions to the sectors of graduate studies and community service, a presentation was made. Dr. Ahmed Al-Shouki, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies, several topics, most notably the system of study in postgraduate studies, the proposed dates for study and examinations, the formation of committees and units for both sectors, and the organization of the tenth conference of the Center for Papyrus Studies and Inscriptions.
