At the beginning of his speech, the Minister praised the efforts of the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) to improve the quality of medical education around the world, and to enhance scientific and ethical standards in medical education, and thanked the President of the World Federation for Medical Education for his cooperation with Egypt in this field, as well as the continuous support and continuous cooperation to improve the quality of medical services provided to citizens.
Dr.. Ayman Ashour affirmed Egypt's readiness to host the Fifth World Congress of the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME), which comes within the framework of the celebration of the union's golden jubilee, and the fifty years since its founding (WFME), with the participation of the Ministry of Higher Education and Ain Shams University as an academic partner, and more attendance The conference included 1,200 doctors from all over the world, pointing to the importance of the conference in improving the quality of medical education, training and qualifying students for work, and reaching an advanced and distinguished level of education.
The minister also affirmed the Egyptian state's keenness to provide all means of support to prepare for this important conference and prepare for it in a manner befitting Egypt's position and its leading, regional and international role in the field of medical education, which is consistent with the state's general directions in cooperation with international bodies and organizations, adding that Egypt's hosting of the conference comes within the framework of the implementation of Egypt’s strategy for sustainable development (Egypt Vision 2030), and allowing Egypt to highlight the unprecedented political, economic, developmental, educational and environmental efforts, which enhances its position and leadership in Africa and globally in the field of medical education.
For his part, the President of the World Federation of Medical Education (WFME) praised Egypt's hosting of the conference, which reflects the confidence of the participants in the Egyptian preparations and its organization of this conference, and represents an enhancement of its depth, international and regional dimension, and its leadership in the field of medical education.
