The Faculty of Engineering honors Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, former Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development

 At the beginning of the activities of the Council of the College of Engineering in its session held on September 12, 2022 AD, Prof. Dr. Omar Al-Husseini - Dean of the Faculty of Engineering honored Prof. Dr. Hesham Kamel Abdel Latif Tamraz - the former Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, whose mandate has reached the legal retirement age. His Excellency received the college shield in honor of his sovereignty for the past period, whether at the college level and his presidency of the Council of the Department of Power and Electrical Machines Engineering or at the university level as Vice-President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs and the prominent role of his leadership in projects at the university level

He began his academic journey as a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Engineering - Ain Shams University in 1984, and an assistant teacher at the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, Department of Electrical Power in 1988 -1992, and a researcher at the University of Waterloo, Canada, Department of Electrical Engineering in 1989, Professor of the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, Department of Electrical Power, 1992-1997, Visiting Professor, University of Waterloo Canada, Department of Electrical Engineering 1992, Assistant Professor of the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University 1997-2005, and Professor of the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University Department Electric Power 2005, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering for Environmental Affairs and Community Service, Ain Shams University in 2010-2011, and Head of the Department of Electrical Power and Machines, Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University.
