The Faculty of Arts hosts a workshop entitled “Supporting New and Distinguished Programs in Faculties”

The Faculty of Arts hosted a workshop entitled: "Supporting New and Distinguished Programs in Facultys", organized by the Education Development Department in the Education and Student Affairs Sector, in cooperation with the Project Development Support Unit, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, welcomed Prof. Dr. Hanan Kamel, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Arts, with Prof. Dr. El-Sawy El-Sawy Ahmed, Project Manager for Monitoring and Evaluating New Programs, at the Higher Education Development Projects Department, and Prof. Prof. Dr. Sahar Ahmed Doewidar, Deputy Director of the Education Development Department and Director of the Central Unit for Curriculum Development, in the presence of faculty members from all theoretical faculties of the university.

     
 
     

The workshop included the theoretical and applied sides, and the theoretical side dealt with a number of objectives, namely knowing and understanding the mechanism and steps for designing a new study program or describing a proposed program and courses, as well as the steps for deciding courses and study programs that include: reviewing the experiences of other universities, whether local or international, and designing the study plan to the program and, finally, to develop a plan to evaluate the program; As for the practical side, it included how to design a distinctive program.

Dr. Howayda Abdel Hamid, Director of Quality Management at the Faculty, Faculty of Arts, talked on the a model in the application of credit hour programs as well as distinguished programs.
